The backer rod is a foam material of polyethylene of low density with closed cells and a skin-like outer texture. It is highly flexible and compressible for easy installation. It is available in a wide range of diameters.

The BACKER ROD is compatible with butyl compounds, polysulfide, acrylic, polyurethane, silicone, and with the majority of the compounds of cold sealers. The backer rod It is also chemically inert and resistant to oil, gasoline and most solvents. This material does not stain or adhere to sealant materials it also doesn’t oozes.
