Bogota will have the highest luxury hotel in Latin America

Lopez said at a press conference on the occasion of the XXXV Tourism Showcase of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism (annatto), the group led intends to expand its presence in the country through its division Eurostars Hotel Company.

Hotusa, which already has two hotels in the Colombian capital, the Exe Bacatá 96 and the Exe Santafe Boutique Hotel, plans to open later this year Eurostars Torre Bacatá, taking 323 rooms, including 19 suites and an area of ​​more than 3,000 square meters of event and distributed in a total of 16 meeting rooms conventions, restaurants and recreation areas.

“It will be the highest hotel in Latin America” Lopez said of this establishment will occupy 44 of the 66 floors of one of the towers BD Bacatá, an architectural complex currently under construction in the city center they hope will become the new icon urban development of the Colombian capital.

The complex was designed by the Spanish architectural studio Alonso-Balaguer y Arquitectos Asociados and will have a built area of ​​114.384 square meters.

“We believe strongly that a project of this magnitude will contribute to the transformation and development of the city of Bogota” he added.

Outside the hotel, the tower will have 396 BD BACATÁ apartments, 117 offices, more than 700 parking spaces and a shopping center with 30 stores.

Lopez believes that “the fact of managing a hotel of this size” will allow the Hotusa Group have “greater visibility” and involve greater possibilities in the Colombian and Latin American markets in general.

“We want to build in all those cities of Colombia that are growing and have an attraction or activity important business,” said Lopez, who noted that the Eurostars Torre Bacatá “also has to be a showcase to continue growing in Colombia and in Latin America”.
