BIG will build the new police station in the Bronx

It has released the BIG project , lead by the Danish Bjarke Ingels, for the new police station in New York City borough of the Bronx.

Its 4,180 square meters are distributed in twelve volumes program, in turn , they are grouped vertically around a central atrium according affinities.

Thus, the building emerges from the intersection wrapped in concrete, metal and glass blocks, which are retranqueos access to street level.

In addition, the project called NYPD 40th Precinct includes two new features compared to its building type: green roofs to offices overlook, and a local ground floor for community dynamics such as public awareness courses.
